UPCOMING EVENTS
We sail on Saturdays during the winter.
We come down to the marina to check out the conditions regardless
of the temperature. The first race starts about noon or
soon thereafter. No races are started after 3:00.
Sailors without boats are welcome. We are
always looking for crew.
If you are looking for an Interlake so that you
can come and race with us, we'll help you find a boat.
Spring
Frostbite Regatta - Saturday March 29
This regatta caps the Winter Series.
Skipper's meeting at noon with races either in the cove or near
the Powerplant. Drew will be running the races. PRSA
awards will be given 4 deep if we get 11 or more boats
out. If you can manage it, bring a pot of your favorite
chilli to share after the races.
NEWS
March 17, 2003
The Frostbite racing this Saturday was a great time. Julio Barros
and Cat Evans sailed #384; Doug & Liz sailed #1153; and
I sailed #807 solo. The weather was perfect - 60 degrees and
winds at 5-10. Awesome!!! I think we sailed eight races, but
I lost count. Team Savage and myself traded victories throughout
the series. Julio and Cat were a little timid on the starts
but sailed very fast. Once Julio gets more comfortable in the
boat and gets up on the starting line at the gun, he'll be a
real threat.
We met at Hard Times Cafe in Old Town afterwards for chili
and beer. On the way to Hard Times I saw my (hungover) crew
walking down King Street. They joined us also, and took a little
abuse for not sailing with me. Good times!!!!
The next and final frostbite of the season will be on Saturday,
March 29. This will be the PRSA Spring Frostbite Regatta, so
we will have other boats out there with us and a legitimate
race committee. The time may be a little different than our
usual, but I'll let you know as the day draws nearer.
I'll be looking for a boat to crew on for that race as 807 is
undergoing surgery.

For Sale
INTERLAKE #502
Regrettably, Tim Fawcett has decided to sell Interlake #502.
It's a great boat. Red hull/white deck, cut down centerboard
trunk, minimum weight "Dieball" rudder, almost new
trailer in 2002, cover was new in 2001 or 2002, I think. Let's
keep this boat in the fleet.
