Hello fabulous Leukemia Cup supporters!
First and foremost, a Big, HUGE, heartfelt THANK YOU to each and everyone of you for your contributions to this year’s Leukemia Cup Regatta. Whether you sailed, volunteered, fundraised, registered, race committee your participation and time played a part in a very successful and enjoyable weekend for all!
How about that wind?!! I am very happy to be able to continue providing that service for you all 🙂 Just keep up that great participation from year to year and it would be my pleasure to continue providing you conditions for great racing 😉 And what about our wonderful band the Cahoots?! Many asked me to pass on compliments to the band. Anyone who would like more details or to be in touch with them, their website is: www.cahootsrockandroll.com
I know many of you are anxiously awaiting the final results of the weekend’s efforts. So far, it looks like a grand total of more than $134,000 has been raised and counting!! Many have emailed me already about additional donations you have received. Keep ’em coming! Every little bit helps, and I am confident that with the donations still trickling in we could pass the $135,000 mark! Donations that come via your website will automatically count. For any checks you receive, please mail them to 5845 Richmond Hwy, suite 800, Alexandria, VA 22303.
Congratulations again to our Leukemia Cup Winners: The Dickson Family! Together their team raised more than $25,000! All top 10 fundraisers and their amounts will be posted on our website www.leukemiacup.org/nca by week’s end.
Racing results!! Congrats to all our race winners! For those who would like to review those results they are available at: http://www.potomacriversailing.org/PresidentsLeukemiaCups/2009/2009President%27sCupResults.htm (for the small, One-Design boats)
or

Finally, you should all know you looked mighty good out there on the water! And, thanks to the wonderful Mike Geissinger, now you can see how good you looked, but have your own photo as a keepsake! Photos of the races are available at http://mikegphotos.zenfolio.com/. All proceeds from photos purchased will go to LLS — so purchase your favorites and keep our total climbing!
Last, but not least! — In our ongoing efforts to improve upon our events, I would very much like to hear your feedback on this year’s experience. Please use the attached form to let us know how we can work on making next year the biggest and best event yet! You can type right into the form and email back or you can send via fax or mail.
Thank you once again for all you have done for our mission! I very much enjoyed working with this group for the 3rd year in a row now and look forward to continuing together for 2010!
Sincerely,
Loree
